Quality Family Time - Gardening
Quality Family Time - Gardening
Hi guys, I know the lockdown seems neverending and being stuck in the same house for this long with the same people can even turn family against each other, but hear me out ok?
Quality time together is important for any relationship to strengthen and thrive and its the same case within families. Even though I am getting really tired of seeing the same (ugly) faces of my sisters every day, the blog topics shared by my friends have given me ideas of activities to do as well as keeps us from always fighting.
I will be sharing one of the activities that have been keeping all over my family busy day and night, and it's my mom's favorite hobby - gardening. After moving into our new house, the backyard has been empty and dead for a while with all of us busy with our own lives. This quarantine has provided us with the opportunity to at last put our plans to action and start decorating and filling up the backyard.
Gardening is a very enjoyable activity that allowed both my lazy sisters to get productive and input in the plan of the layout of the garden. Even the beginning process of decision making and planning the layout can be fun when done as a group. We had decided to divide up the work into sections, half for vegetation and planting seeds and a half for flowers and decorating plants. My older sister and my little sisters was in charge of the vegetation where my mum and I planted the decorative plants. We spend time together choosing what plants to buy, made multiple shifts with the car full of plants together, decided on the positions of the plants together, and at last, planted them together.
It is a long process, very time consuming, and it requires a lot of lard work, but watching the seeds we planted together bloom into little plants never fail to put a smile on our faces. I highly recommend you give it a try and hope to see you soon!
