Learning and Improving
For most of us being in a pandemic is a new experience and
the best way we can battle it is to stay at home and work on ourselves. I took
the similar approach to work on myself and build my skills in the meantime.
Here I have listed a few online resources from where I am learning important
skills for myself and my future.
LinkedIn learning is a free tool for all Macquarie
University students to learn skills both within our degree and outside of it. A
lot of students might not know but this premium service is free for all
Macquarie University students. All you need to do is to log in through your
education portal and you are all set to lifelong learning.
Udemy is another popular website to learn new skills in order
to make yourself better in a particular space and specialize in a given skill.
Joining Udemy is free and you can buy courses that cost as less as a price of a
cup of a coffee and a donut. There is also a 30 day money back guarantee if you
don’t like a particular course.
YouTube is a free platform to learn a bunch of new things and
skills without any prices. I am learning a lot about new concepts such as learning new philosophical concepts
from TEDx videos. Learning about speed reading from Tim Ferris videos and from
various podcasts.
To conclude what I really believe is that we all have a choice what we do with our time and learn as much as you can so you can be better equipped with skills to make yourself exceptional and a good fit for any jobs of the future.
